In this satellite picture from the NASA website can be clearly noticed the green of the Yungas rainforest, in contrast with the puna drought on the left, the fall towards the Chaco plains on the right, and the human settlements.
The red mark in pointing the borders of the Biosphere Reserve of the Yungas, in the provinces of Salta and Jujuy. This is the eleventh in Argentina, and the third that harbours jaguars, next to Teuquito River (Formosa) and Yaboti (Misiones).
